Expensive lesson learned

It was an awesome week at the Love Affair Workshop. So much so, that during my layover in Atlanta on the way home, I decided to make wise use of my time and finish editing some images. I was only sitting 10 feet from my gate, but I knew I had plenty of time. My flight didn't leave until 3:35 and it was only 1:00 when I sat down with my computer. All of a sudden when I saw the time was 2:30 and I gasped sharply because I realized my computer clock and watch were on Texas time!!! It was really 3:30 and I was in trouble. The guy sitting next to me looked over with concern as I shoved my computer in the bag and ran over to my gate... too late, the plane was still there, but disconnected from the thing that you walk through to get on board. I asked if I could still get on, but no such luck :( I fought back tears and called Jerett to tell him the bad news, making my way to the help desk to find the next available flight to Dallas. In the end it wasn't so bad, minus the $$. I flew home in first class and got to DFW just an hour and a half later than planned. Expensive lesson learned: it's okay to make wise use of time in the airport, just do so sitting in the right place!
